Baby Shower Weekend Project

Over the weekend I tackled a few projects that  I've been meaning to get a head start on.  I have a baby shower coming up and  I didn't want to wait till the last minute.

So I started out the day with  shopping at my Local V.O.A store again.. I searched for a ugly picture I could make over. It didn't take long for me to spot a flash  back from 1980.  And here It is.....

I had a idea!!!! but it was going to take a little work and elbow grease!  I started out by  removing the backing off this picture and removing the glass
Once the glass was removed and the backing was off  I took the frame and painted it a nice crisp white.  (spray paint of course) I always take the easy way out!

I also sprayed the flower white  and inside where you see pink I painted it yellow with craft paint.
I bought a yellow piece of scrap book paper and put it behind  the ( you are my sunshine) saying in which I LOVE!

On the bottom I added some vinyl letters  in the Baby's name Layla.
Hard to believe that  this is the same picture!

I"m in love with it.
Think outside of the box , The frame was $3.00 with a little work it's priceless! I sure hope she loves it.

Product Review Thursday

Hello and Welcome to  Product Review Thursday.
Today I want to share with everyone a product called B B Cream by Garnier.
What is B. B Cream? It's a skin renew perfector that is tinted.  It has spf 15 in it.

I use this product every morning before I put my foundation on. I  bought the light/medium.  I am in LOVE with this product because I normally have dry pale skin and in the winter finding a foundation to work with my skin tone is hard.
I noticed a difference right away, when using the product my skin felt like silk and  my skin had a very nice healthy glow. ( just what I was looking for)

I don't feel comfortable using the product alone,as it's not intended for full coverage.
I noticed when using the b.b cream that my pores looked smaller and none of my skin had a dry feel to it any longer.
I rate this product a 10 I have added it in my daily routine.

Give it a try!!!

Note: All information provided is my own,  you may not have the same effect as I did. I bought all products on my own and the photo I took.

Print and Frame

I was a little bored today so I printed out some free printable's I found online.  I needed a little something for  a table in the dining room.
.
I have a bunch of frames I need to use up, so this is what I did..

Cost  * Free*

It don't get easier and cheaper than this!

Floating Frame

I was at our local V.O.A store ( it's sort of like a goodwill) I found a Ugly picture of some cartoon lady for $2.02  As I looked at the picture the frame was nice and the glass was perfect no cracks or chips.

I got it home and took the ugly picture out and realized I had a really nice frame to do something with, but what???

So this is what I did...

First I took out the Ugly painting... and why YES it was that awful.. I wish I would of took a picture for you all to see, however I ripped that ugly picture out of the frame before it came in my house!

I washed up the frame and glass before I even got started, I don't know who's hands were all over it and from the looks of it, I don't want to know.. however I'm about to bring it all back to life!

I started out with some left over vinyl I had, I used my cricut to cut the word "FAITH".
Now if you don't have a cricut don't fret you can still do this project.. you can print out the letters with your printer and trace the letters on the back of the vinyl and cut it with your scissors.  same effect just takes a little more time, and with 6 kids time is what I don't have.
If you don't have vinyl you can use colored contact paper our local dollar tree has black from time to time  they always have clear and white.

Once I cut my letters I placed my  letters where I wanted on my glass, popped the frame back on and there ya have it! A totally new look for this old ratty frame.
( in the process)
 All Done!!!
The Cost for this project was $2.02 My kind of Deal!

Have  Fun  Crafting I know I did.

Before and After

I wanted to post this as inspiration : If you have a Ugly living space.. think about changing up the color to make it  cozy.  Paint can be a simple and  easy fix.

Here is our Before and After of our living room, it was screaming HELP me when we bought it!

With a little help...we  turned this space into a beauty in no time.  We picked out a color for the focal  wall, and a different color  for  the rest of the walls.  We painted the trim white, and put in new carpet.. however, you could skip carpet if you don't have extra funds.   You could clean the carpet and throw down some super cute rugs.

Don't that White just make those windows POP ;)

Hard to believe it's the same space.

Just think outside of the box!

* How to Make* Tile Pictures

Over Christmas  I started making Tile Photo's. Our Friends and Family members (LOVED) the tiles as we made a bunch as gifts.

Are you wondering what I'm talking about Yet??

Ok ok .. So on with it right!!!

Run on over to home depot get yourself a tile whatever size you want will work. I have made all sizes.

Next your going to need Mod Podge, foam brush, and your picture printed out on regular white paper. Your also going to need a little craft paint I usually use black.

Grab your tile...( make sure it's warm) I've done this when the tiles are cold and they bubble  up and you'll have a horrible mess).

Dip your Foam Brush in the Mod Podge then spread it over the tile a thin even coat will do.Then quickly add your picture to the tile. Make sure to rub out all the air bubbles with your hand or a soft dry cloth.
Once you've gotten most the air bubbles out, spread a thin layer of mod podge over the picture. You then can add some craft paint to the edges to look more rustic, or to fill in the tile edges to look more like a frame.
Let dry for 2-3 hours you will then see most of the air bubbles you seen when you did the second coat of modge podge  gone.  It dries pretty nice! ( Most of the TIME )  ;)

I put my tiles on a picture stand and placed them on a shelf in my living room.

Here is a picture of one of the small one's I did.

Hope you have a great time making some tile pictures I know I did.
